The production of wine at Poggio Salvi has ancient origins that are impossible to trace back. However, we do know that the Bicchi family, the present owners of the farm, began making wine in the late 1800's, committing themselves to wine production with the usage of innovative   methods, but always in the  respect of traditions.
Today Poggio Salvi is managed by Roberto Bonucci, his wife Laura Bicchi and their son Jacopo Bonucci, with the assistance of Mrs. Grazia Mari, who is directly involved in many activities of the companies.
Tradition, passion and intuition have always been the qualities that have helped Poggio Salvi to find its place internationally as a producer of premium quality award-winning wines. Every vintage, every piece of land, every idea that we want to use is a new beginning, a new search for high quality.
To the agricultural farm  Poggio Salvi, situated in Sovicille, historical ownership of the family, we have added other wineries in various part of the Tuscany Region for the production of quality wines. The first one added was the Azienda Agricola Montenero near Montepulciano, where the  Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is produced, then we rented a farm in the Morellino di Scansano  aria and recently we have reached an agreement with an important winery in Montalcino for the production of  Brunello di Montalcino.
